The company is testing the unification of stores under a single brand "Eldorado + M.Video". If the pilot project is successful, the company "will make a decision on scaling the new store format"

the Eldorado + M.Video brand armenia cell phone number list to increase their economic efficiency; stores with the new name are already being tested in Tolyatti and Ryazan. This was reported to the Kommersant newspaper by the group's chief operating officer, Sergei Li.

According to him, the group plans to combine loyalty programs in the future, and stores will have a common stock of equipment. "The unification of brands in a number of areas, including IT, logistics and marketing, has already contributed to economic efficiency and investment optimization," Li noted.

The merger of brands will attract new customers, and traffic will increase by 10-15%, the group's representative said. "Based on the results of the pilot period, we will make a decision on scaling the new format," he added.

As Mikhail Burmistrov, CEO of Infoline-Analytics, explained to the newspaper, the two networks used to be responsible for different segments: Eldorado focused more on budget equipment, while M.Video focused on the high-price segment. "But since many brands have left Russia, the difference between the segments has smoothed out," the expert said. At the same time, according to him, the group can now close some of its stores where two brands are present in the same shopping center.

According to SPARK, the largest shareholder of PJSC M.Video is the Cypriot Ericaria Holdings Limited (50% of shares), the beneficiary of which, according to Kommersant, is Said Gutseriev, another 10.4% of shares are owned by Weridge Investments Limited, 15% of shares belong to the German Media-Saturn-Holding GmbH, from which M.Video bought MediaMarkt stores in 2018. 23.8% of shares are in free float.

Today, the group is the largest seller of electronics and home appliances in Russia. It owns 601 M.Video stores and 647 Eldorado stores in 369 cities.

M.Video bought Eldorado in March 2018 for 45.5 billion rubles. The purchase was made using its own funds with the help of a VTB loan.

At the end of June, Great Britain imposed sanctions against Gutseriev. The company's press service then noted that the M.Video-Eldorado group was not included in the sanctions lists and "continues its operational activities in full." After that, the businessman announced his resignation from the group's board of directors.

Said Gutseriev is the son of businessman Mikhail Gutseriev, chairman of the board of directors of the Safmar group, who was hit by EU sanctions in June last year in connection with the landing of a RyanAir plane in Minsk and the arrest of journalist Roman Protasevich who was flying on it. EU authorities considered that he has influence on the policy of Belarus and is a long-time friend of the country's president, Alexander Lukashenko. The businessman considered the restrictive measures illegal and unfair.
