CSO HH.ru Vitaly Terentyev notes that during 2022, there was a drop in the number of information security vacancies - in April, June and July - this happened against the backdrop of a general decline in demand in the labor market and the reformatting of IT projects of many companies during these periods. "Since germany cell phone number listAugust, we have seen a recovery in demand to last year's levels. The shortage of personnel in the information security market is one of the most acute, even against the backdrop of other areas in IT. Last year, there were 0.4 resumes of specialized applicants for one information security vacancy, this year - 0.6. With such a modest growth rate over the year, there is no point in talking about any improvement in the situation," he says.

According to him, this year, for the first time, the number of companies that have an information security department reached 50%, and if we add to them those that are currently in the process of creating such a department, the share of companies with a dedicated information security function will exceed 60%.

Fedor Dbar, Commercial Director of the Security Code company, notes that the demand for personnel in the information security field is growing annually, and in 2022 it has increased once again. "You can compare the growth rates, but this is more a question of the chosen methodology, and globally nothing has changed. Now we are smoothly moving towards 2024. By the beginning of this year, the security systems of critical information infrastructure facilities should be brought into line, and by the end of the year, a ban on the use of foreign solutions will come into force. Naturally, this factor forces the relevant companies to become more active, and the closer the deadline, the more intensively the demand grows. But I will note that many companies already have their own information security specialists, they just often do not have the appropriate authority and a high position. This is exactly what was implied by the decree of the President of Russia No. 250 - people involved in information security just need to be given more opportunities and tools," says Fedor Dbar.
