in my letter not to associate with immoral men; not at all meaning the immoral of this world, or the greedy and robbers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. But rather I wrote to you not to associate with any one who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or robber--not even to eat with such a one. For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? God judges those outside. "Drive out the buy phone number list wicked person from among you."
Commonly used dissenter "Newspeak" vocabulary tactics include:
Use the word "Catholic" in their claimed religious affiliation or organization title. One example is 'Catholics for a Free Choice.' Just because the word Catholic is used doesn't mean an organization believes in or follows Catholic teaching. One must understand their mission and goals to discern the truth.
Invent a new word, carefully chosen to elicit a feeling of negativity or imposing a phantom guilt. A good example is 'homophobia.'
Usurp an existing word's meaning and change it's definition, but without explicitly telling you that their vocabulary has a different definition. An example is 'marriage,' and what types of "unions" are in the definition of a dissenter's version of 'marriage' versus the Church taught husband and wife.
Choose words which on the surface appear acceptable but do not express the true meaning or intent. A good example is "reproductive health."
