I must confess that when my friend Yago Uribe told me about this event in the lobby of a hotel in Mallorca, I couldn't believe it... An event that took place in the middle of the night, in my land, in which the speakers talked about their entrepreneurial failures, and all of it "paired" with a high dose of humor...
The next step was to find out a little about what this was all about. I visited some websites, watched videos from other editions in other countries; and this “failure-telling trend” is not a crazy idea from my fellow countrymen, it is a formula that Carlos Zimbrón created in Mexico with the purpose of eliminating the “taboo” of the word “failure” and using it as an experience of success. We all know that saying “you learn from your mistakes . ”
Like almost all different list of telegram users in iraq initiatives, according to the Mexican: “it all started one night drinking mezcal; a group of friends brought up the subject of why when someone talked about their projects, they only talked about the positive aspects .” Mistakes certainly have at least the same value for an entrepreneur; they show him the best path to follow, they are lanterns that illuminate those shortcuts that we tend to take and that lead us nowhere.
Thus, in September 2012, they dared to call upon three speakers from their closest circle to literally talk about their failures.
That “meaningless” idea of counting failures instead of successes began to multiply enormously. Today, it is celebrated in dozens of cities around the globe, with some of the most representative countries being Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, the United States and Spain .
Well, there is less than a month left to enjoy failure, which sounds bad, but it is so. On the evening of June 22 , at the facilities of Infecar (ICT Demonstration Center – Avda. de la Feria) in Las Palmas , four musketeers will take out the swords of failure, not to "poke" the attendees, but to show how they should not use the weapons of the entrepreneur in their projects or companies.
