That the crisis affects all economic activity in one way or another is an undeniable reality, although it obviously does not affect all sectors to the same extent. This is the case of e-commerce, which in Spain is in good health and is holding up strongly according to the III Study on E-Commerce by PriceMinister .
This year, the number of buyers is expected to ig data grow by one and a half points, given that almost eight out of ten Internet users have already bought or sold online at some point.
According to the study, 62% of Spaniards have spent more than 100 euros in the last 12 months on online purchases, the same figure as last year. What's more, 21% of all respondents say they have spent more than 500 euros on online purchases. Thus, despite the fall in consumer purchasing power as a result of the economic crisis, both the frequency and spending on online purchases in the last 12 months show very similar figures to those of the previous year.
The travel and leisure category remains the undisputed leader, with 61% of Spaniards having bought plane tickets and another 54% having bought hotel rooms. Close behind are clothing, accessories and cosmetics, which are also not losing ground, with 51% of those surveyed saying they have bought some of these items.
