Live Audio Rooms: Facebook and Messenger rooms with live editing effects

First, and possibly the biggest threat to Clubhouse, Facebook has introduced Live Audio Rooms, a feature very similar to Messenger Rooms that allows you to create video call rooms, but this time dedicated exclusively to audio.
With Live Audio Rooms, Facebook says users will be able to “ join, create new audiences and share ideas with existing audiences, create discussion photos, without the added pressure of being in front of the camera.”
But as you can see in this video, Facebook has not limited itself to creating a voice chat tool, but has applied the concept of filters and image and video editing so common in apps like Snapchat or TikTok to this type of conversation. Thus, users will have editing tools with which to add audio effects to the live voice, including external noise cancellation or distortion with high-pitched voices, walkie-talkie effect, etc. As the social network explains, users will carry "a sound studio in their pocket."
