A scientific and educational center with a computing cluster has opened at the Chemistry Department of Lomonosov Moscow State University with the participation of a Rostec division within the framework of the federal project "Advanced Engineering Schools." The federal project "Advanced Engineering Schools" was created on the basis of one of the 42 strategic initiatives of socio-economic development. It is aimed at uniting science and industry in order to create the latest types of products to achieve technological independence of Russia.
"This fall, we are taking an important step in implementing our educational initiatives by launching a new program, "Metamaterials and Fundamentals of Transformational Optics," within the framework of the additional professional education of the MSU Engineering School. <…> The educational platform within the MSU PISH will essentially become our common space-laboratory, where we plan to solve problems of aviation science, flight safety, metallurgy, and other pressing issues," explained Denis Kononchuk, First Deputy General Director of RT-Tekhpriemka, as quoted by the university's press service.
