What is advertising labeling and why is it needed?
Advertising labeling is a mandatory mark that shows that you are seeing an advertisement. It consists of three elements: the word "Advertisement", information about the advertiser, and a token - a unique identifier for the advertisement.
Marking is needed so that the consumer immediately understands where advertising is and where it is not. This makes the advertising market more transparent and control over it easier.

The advertising labeling process consists of six mandatory steps:
Operator selection. The advertiser or agency enters into an agreement with the advertising data operator (ADO). It transfers information to the Unified Register of Internet Advertising (ERIR).
Registration of creative in the ORD system. You need to specify the advertiser and ad details.
Receiving a token. Each ad is assigned a unique identifier - a token. It confirms that the ad is registered.
Marking. The ad is marked as “Advertisement”, along with the advertiser’s data (name, TIN) and a token.
Placement: Once all elements have been added, the advertisement is published online.
Report. After the campaign is completed, data on impressions and costs are transferred to ERIR via ORD.

Each of them must add the “Advertisement” mark, advertiser details, and a unique token to the ad.
What kind of advertising does not need labeling?
Social advertising. If the information is of public benefit and is not related to commerce, it does not need to be labeled.
Television and radio advertising. Materials created for television or radio broadcasting do not require labeling if they are posted on the Internet without changes.
Informational materials. Reviews, articles or news without an emphasis on a specific product and calls to purchase are not considered advertising.
Advertising on your resources. Messages about your products or services on the company's website or in a newsletter without specific offers and emphasis on purchasing are also not marked.
Important: FAS does not recognize the term "self-promotion". Sometimes even your own products on your own resources need to be labeled.
