Representatives of the IT market interviewed by ComNews have different attitudes towards the creation of a federal association: some believe that its creation is necessary, while others claim that existing associations do not meet the needs of specialists.
"There is no urgent need, because there are already enough associations. They integrate various professionals: from programmers and developers to top managers. According to Elena Kuts, head of the expert-analytical department of the Russian software developer ALMI Partner, there are more than ten large communities of IT specialists in Russia. Among them are Russoft, ARPP Dotechestvenny Soft, APKIT. There are also small communities that unite software developers, manufacturers of microelectronics and hardware and software systems, company executives and other specialists.
Partner and Director of Development of the HR electronic document management system HRlink Dmitry Makhlin sees the difference between the new association and the existing ones in that it will probably be larger in scale, since it will cover all regions of the country. According to Elena Kuts from ALMI Partner, existing associations do not fully cover the needs of IT specialists. "Large communities focus on software, while hardware manufacturers are not widely represented," says Elena Kuts.
