Automotive Engine Technology Guide: Classification, Advantages and Development Prospects

Post by aminaas1576 »

Gasoline engine: Uses gasoline as fuel and drives the car through internal combustion. Characterized by easy starting and good acceleration dynamics, but relatively low fuel efficiency.
Diesel engine: Uses diesel fuel, has high efficiency and large torque, and is widely used in vehicles requiring high power such as trucks and large SUVs.
Electric Motor: Uses electric drive and does not involve internal combustion process. It has advantages of high energy efficiency, low maintenance cost and zero emissions.
Hybrid Engine: Combines the advantages of internal combustion engines and electric motors, and can automatically or manually switch between modes under different driving conditions to improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions.
2. Classification by operating principle

Four-stroke engine: The most common type of automobile engine, it involves four stages: intake, compression, power (explosion), and exhaust.
Two-stroke engine: The working cycle includes mexico number data two stages: compression and power, with simple structure and small size, but poor fuel efficiency and emission control.
3. Classification by cylinder arrangement

In-line engine: Cylinders are arranged in a straight line, common in most cars and small SUVs.
V-Type Engine: The cylinders are arranged in a V shape, which is often used in high-performance cars and large vehicles and can provide greater power output.
Boxer Engine: The cylinders are positioned horizontally opposite each other, which helps lower the car's center of gravity and improve handling.
