Sometimes an event doesn't measure exactly what you want to measure as a conversion. For example, you want to measure when a user visits a confirmation page. page_view An event tells you when a user visits that page, but you can't mark that event as a conversion because then all page views would be counted as conversions.

Instead, you can modify existing events in Google Analytics and create new qatar whatsapp lead events based on existing events to mark events as conversions without changing your website or app settings.

You can create and modify events in Google Analytics. Modifying an event means changing an existing event so that it measures what you want. Creating an event means duplicating an existing event so that it measures what you want without changing the original event.

Important : Modifying an event overwrites an existing event. Be careful when overwriting events to avoid unintended consequences. For example, avoid modifying page_view an event so that it no longer collects pageview data for other pages on your site.

Creating Events in Google Analytics

In this example, you want to trigger the event when a user submits their contact information and visits a confirmation page. You can then mark the event as a conversion and see how many users successfully submitted their contact information.
