Developing a Chatbot in just 2 hours

Post by Abdur11 »

There is a lot of buzz around Chatbots. In fact, some rumors are calling them the next big thing in the UX world. Even Facebook launched its own version of Chatbox for Messenger, but people saw it more as an “information bot” than a Chatbot.

A curious thing about AI chatbots is that Microsoft's innocent Chatbot was corrupted in less than 24 hours by Twitter users, causing it to be removed from the web.

In this article you will learn:
The types of UX you should be getting involved with
The tools needed to create a simple Bot from scratch
To demonstrate the true potential of this technology I whatsapp number in philippines have the following goal for this article:

“The project should not require any prior programming experience.”

So let's get started
A great benefit of having a Bot is that you can program it as a very decent customer service agent. Thus, it becomes a great addition to your conversion tools. As an example, we will take Barnie’s Restaurant – where a Chatbot will help us automate processes and guide our customers through the menus and different options, helping us improve the customer experience.

We will need 2 basic tools for this process:

A whiteboard and some markers
A platform to create Bots
There are many such platforms out there that you can choose from and they are very easy to find. I chose Motion AI because it has excellent templates and pre-built models ready to use. Besides the fact that its UX is fantastic, it offers a simple and dynamic experience, even if you have never done anything like this, or you have no programming experience, it is still very friendly to the first-time user.

Other recommended platforms include Chatfuel or Botsify, but the latter can be a bit more complicated for first-time users.

The design process:
Step 1
Before we start setting up our Bot, it is always a good idea to think about the problem itself. When people hear the word “problem” they usually think there is something wrong that needs to be fixed, but instead, we should simply view them as questions that require answers. Some may be very easy to answer while others may be quite challenging.
