Facebook Algorithm Changes – What Now?
There’s been a lot written about the changes at Facebook, so I was hesitant to put my two cents in. Last week, however, I spoke at the “For Social Media” conference, where I talked about how I think it will affect how you run your Facebook business.
So I decided to share with you the most important theses from my speech.
In the article you will read about:
Summary of the latest changes on Facebook
How much will really change?
How to cope with the new Facebook reality?
Summary of the latest changes on Facebook
Assuming that perhaps by some miracle you haven't yet found out what exactly vietnam rcs data Facebook intends to change, read Mark Zuckerberg's statement:
In short: reach will drop again and some tricks that used to increase it will stop working. All this so that users see more posts from friends instead of pages.
Profiles that create so-called “engagement baits” will lose their reach. We all know them. The most common types include “Choose A or B,” voting with reactions, “Tag someone you ____ with in a comment,” and many more.
According to Facebook, they contribute nothing to the lives of their users (Thank you, Captain Obvious). Which brings us to what are known as “meaningful interactions.”
Meaningful interactions
Facebook announces that it will cut the reach of posts that generate low-value interactions – such as the aforementioned engagement baits. But they are not the only ones at risk. FB intends to assess the value and quality of comments.
Short, one- or two-word statements will not have a positive impact on the post's reach, as will extensive statements.
This is partly a response to the actions of many moderators who try to forcibly engage their audience.
