Without Filter With Madame Récamier

Post by aminaas1575 »

Symphonic (Sym): How will you know you've made it? What does success look like to you?

Madame Récamier (MR): For me, being successful in life is like having this… hunger to continue, wanting to grow and be a better person and be better in your career. It’s like always looking for something more, to grow a little bit more and I think that’s being successful. There are many things you can do to achieve your goals, first of all you have to think about that goal that you want. Sometimes the goals are short-term or long-term. When there is a very ambitious long-term goal and you’re dying to get there, there is a path to follow and within that path there are short-term goals that are small achievements that will take you to that indian mobile number dream that you want and you shouldn’t let go of it, you should keep it in mind… But it can change, there may also be a day when you say I don’t want that dream anymore, now I’m thinking more about this… this fulfills me more and that’s okay… there’s nothing wrong with it.

Sym: How did you choose your stage name?

MR: I chose my stage name when I was backpacking in France and I went to the Louvre Museum to look for Madame Récamier and find out a little more about her and the moment I saw her I said… we clicked, I mean if I had known her… if I had lived in 1800 we would have been friends. And well, Madame Récamier was a very controversial woman in her time, she was a salonnière and she would gather people in her salon and play the harp and sing to them. She liked to have these gatherings with musicians, composers, artists… Well, her story inspires me a lot every time I discover more about her, her loves and the dark moments of her life…

Sym: Do you prefer to be an independent or signed artist?

I consider myself an independent, free, very capable, creative artist. I love to collaborate, I love to learn about music from all genres and integrate them. I like to make mistakes, I like to be involved in every process of making music and producing music and making an album and collaborations and playing live. So I like to be in all parts of the artist's development and that's why I like to be independent because I can take control of these areas of being an artist... I take the hard road, I want to discover and do everything on my own.
