We knew that WhatsApp was testing a version of its app for businesses last year, but it wasn't until around February 2018 that they gave the green light (never better said) to download the WhatsApp Business app on Google Play since, at the moment, it is only available for Android.

First of all, there are 7 things you should know about WhatsApp Business:
1. It is a different application than the WhatsApp Messenger that you had until now.
It is not enough to have the WhatsApp application downloaded, because you will have to download a new one called “Whatsapp Business”. And it is finally available for both Android and iPhone (updated April 2019).

In addition, you will have no problem having both applications coexist on the same device, as long as the phone number of the user of both does not match.

2. Surprise! WhatsApp Business is also for tablets.
Yes, as you read, if the device you use in your company is the tablet, you will be able to use it from it because they have finally agreed that the new app will be a communication solution in this environment.

3. Setting up your business profile allows you to fill out more information than a personal profile.
We remember that WhatsApp belongs to Lebanon telegram data they want there to be a visible and real difference between business profiles and other profiles, as has already happened with Facebook business pages, or now with business profiles on Instagram. But what data can we configure?

Photo: Profile photo of your business. We recommend the logo.
Company address: In this case, you must take into account that filling it in text does not update it on the map. If you want to locate it on the map, you must click “ Choose a location on the map ”
Business Category: Choose which category best represents your business, or if there isn't one exactly, the one that comes closest.
Company Description: Add a text talking about your business.
Business hours : Very useful information for customers. You can choose between “ always open ”, “ by appointment only ” or personalized.
Email : Enter the email address you want customers to use to contact your business.
Web : You can add up to two web addresses related to your company.
If you want to do the step-by-step in a more guided way, we recommend this article from Xataka where they explain it very well.

4. You can set up scheduled auto-replies.
And what happens when someone writes to us on WhatsApp outside of business hours and/or on the weekend? Sometimes we are forced to reply to the dreaded “Online”.

With WhatsApp Business, we can set up an auto-reply and schedule it to appear at a specific time, in which we will guide the user on when we can respond. However, this function cannot be used in groups, only in private conversations.

It also allows us to customize auto-responses to messages that we repeat frequently, and even give “pokes” to the contacts we choose after 14 days since we last contacted them on WhatsApp.

5. It can be configured with both mobile and landline phones.
This feature is quite surprising because it means that WhatsApp Business goes beyond the mobile scope and allows you to configure your application with a landline number instead of a mobile one.

How does the app validate the phone number? With a phone call, of course.

But if you are thinking of setting up a “ chat center ” with this functionality, we regret to tell you that it only allows one number per device. Of course, it is said and commented that in the future, there could be user roles for the same phone number, something similar to what pop-up chats like Zopim or iAdvice are like now, but for now we can only wait.

6. Allows you to access statistics of your activity in the chat.
Although it is not the most talked about feature because it is not yet very developed, WhatsApp Business will allow us in the future to access much more advanced statistics and reports on everything related to our activity in the chat (messages sent, messages read, messages received, etc.)

7. It is fully compatible with WhatsApp Web.
If you are already used to managing WhatsApp from your PC, don't worry, because WhatsApp Business is fully compatible with the web version and you will continue working as before.
