Shortly after, Juliana Gomes was the first person hired by the startup through a vacancy exclusively for black women. In the first few weeks, her identification with the work developed by the D&I area caught the attention of the growth marketing analyst, who started to participate in the project.


In early 2022, the new Inteligente was officially invited to share the leadership of the Somos Axis, becoming Co-Head of Diversity and Inclusion together with Aline. Juliana recently took on the role of Marketing Director, a fact that highlights the importance of valuing inclusive positions and the representation of leaders.

Applying D&I to technology

Inteligov grew and more employees showed their willingness to implement inclusive actions. It is at this point that many companies realize the difficulties of implementing activities that are not part of their work routine.


To achieve this, those responsible for Eixo Somos came up with a solution: the formation of committees. The main objective of the committees is to develop actions that involve all affinity groups, seeking the collaboration of employees so that they feel part of the projects.


Four committees were then formed: Education, Communication, Political-Institutional and Innovation. All employees were invited to participate and choose which committee they would like to serve on. The idea was for each committee to develop projects capable of translating the concepts of diversity and inclusion into practice.


This is how the Innovation Committee came up with the idea of ​​developing inclusive features. After taking a course on CSS, Danielle Luisa, Front-End Developer, realized how beneficial it would be to replace the pixel (PX) with REM on the Inteligov platform, since it is a unit of measurement that adapts better to browser settings and could make viewing easier for those who need larger fonts. The team quickly approved the idea and began work.
