"The environment is very competitive, so the responsibility

eachers in leading IT programs are not university associate professors, but practitioners whose main place of work is Yandex, Yadro, VK. Then the student receives real tasks from the industry, undergoes real practice, and not in the department with a report "on the drawer", understands what he needs to complete his education, and graduates from the university no longer as a "junior". This is how the Yandex training program is implemented together with leading universities," Daria Kozlova told a ComNews correspondent.

“There is a problem of cyprus whatsapp number database disconnect from reality in IT education,” she continues, “because there are not and will not be a sufficient number of IT teachers in universities due to their employment in big tech.”

of big tech is to go to universities and teach. Otherwise, IT education will not only be a catch-up process - these will be two different realities. Therefore, students create a huge competition for the programs of industrial partners of universities, because they want to learn not from abstract examples, but to solve real problems of the industry. But at Yandex, I do not have the task of growing personnel for ourselves, whom we will then hire. This task is social and responsible - we can make a contribution to IT education, so we go to universities," comments the Director of Education at Yandex.

"A person who has a good knowledge of modern technologies, an understanding of how generative and language models work, is much more competitive than someone who does not have these competencies," concluded Daria Kozlova.

Domestically produced laptops, tablets, and computers should occupy almost three-quarters of the Russian market by 2030, - the forecast was made by the general director of the consortium "Computer Engineering" Svetlana Legostayeva at a meeting of officials from the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media with representatives of public organizations and entrepreneurs.

Svetlana Legostayeva explained to a ComNews correspondent: "Forecasts for the development of the domestic electronics industry show that Russian radio-electronic products will occupy 70% of the market by 2030. At the beginning of 2024, this looks realistic. We have a huge range of devices. The emphasis is not even on expanding the range, but on improving the consumer properties of these products."

We are talking, for example, about Kvadra laptops and tablets and other domestic electronic devices. In the area of mobile phones, according to the ComNews interlocutor, Russia is still taking its first steps, but there is progress in this direction. But the main question remains, what exactly is considered a Russian device.

"Even before import substitution, we agreed on terminology. The state developed requirements for recognizing this or that product as Russian. It is clear that the component base is not all ours - for example, memory. But this does not mean that products manufactured at our facilities cannot be considered Russian. The whole world does this, and no one has any questions. But the bar for technological independence, albeit slightly, is constantly rising. Consequently, the number of operations performed by our developers and manufacturers is constantly increasing. Due to recent events, the transition to Russian processors has been somewhat postponed, although almost all consortium participants had products on "Elbrus" and "Baikal" in their line. We are waiting and hoping that everything will work out well. The only question is the timing," comments Svetlana Legostayeva.

Four years ago, the popular topic of digitalization was a set of "cross-cutting technologies." Artificial intelligence was hardly discussed. Big data was a priority, the role of digital transformation captains was assigned exclusively to state-owned companies, and business played the role of service personnel. Times have changed, but the new "wrapper" and terminology are still being developed, despite the end of the "digital five-year plan."

"Often, events happen "in fact", without any formal packaging. The same Rostelecom and other named customers announced in the media that they officially purchase server products only from Russian brands. Anchor customers who develop technology for consumers do not wait for this phenomenon to be given a beautiful name. A constructive dialogue has emerged, which benefits the entire industry. Previously, they tried to artificially attract us to each other, but now the dialogue is organic, which allows us to hone the quality of the products. Four years ago, such relations were only declared, but now - this is life," said Svetlana Legostayeva.

There are organizations in the domestic IT industry that work on native Russian hardware no matter what. Pavel Golosov, Executive Director of the Association of Documentary Telecommunications, told a ComNews correspondent how solutions based on the Russian Elbrus processor are used in the educational process: "We use the domestic software and hardware platform within the framework of the master's program "Information Culture of Digital Transformation", as well as for additional professional education. Elbrus has a specific compiler that requires a certain approach, but there is no need to be afraid of it."
