Keys to a company's Corporate Social Responsibility

Post by monira444 »

The Coordinator of the Official University Master's Degree in Corporate Responsibility at Bureau Veritas Centro Universitario , Alberto Cuervo, talks to us in this post about the keys to CSR in companies.

In business management, Social Responsibility plays a very important role, and its main keys, which it is convenient to know, are the following:

It is voluntary: therefore it goes beyond the legal obligations of the organizations.
It establishes the concept of Sustainable Development: companies must integrate economic, social and environmental consequences into their operations.
It affects the company's own management: therefore, it must be integrated into its main activities.
It must take into account the expectations of the facebook data organization's stakeholders, both internal (workers, management, owners, shareholders) and external (customers, suppliers, society).
In this way, the relationship between companies and society is strengthened , since society demands responsible products and services committed to improving the community and the environment.

Customer loyalty is gained by convincing them that consuming that brand resolves social discrimination and environmental problems.

The consumer not only buys a product or service but also an image, in this way, Social Responsibility improves the positioning of an organization.

When faced with the possibility of purchasing two similar services or products, the consumer chooses the one from the responsible company.

Therefore, CSR causes a company to positively differentiate itself from other competing companies in the sector.

In this way, Social Responsibility allows the company to meet the expectations of the sectors with which it has a relationship, fulfilling the following premises:

Understanding that ethics must permeate all decisions made by managers and executives, and that it must be part of the company culture.
Integrate into the community of which one is a part, carrying out appropriate social actions, and balancing one's interests with those of society.
Offer products and services that respond to the needs of users , contributing to social well-being.
Respect and preserve the environment .
Value that relationships with workers must be a priority , ensuring safe and healthy working conditions.
Every organization must look after its own interests that will have an impact on its own internal competitiveness , since if it meets these, it will increase the motivation and personal development of its workers , applying the appropriate actions in the different Management Areas indicated by the SGE 21 Standard .

Senior Management

It aims to promote organizational change by developing and establishing an Ethics Management and Social Responsibility Policy , a Code of Conduct and the creation of an Ethics Committee to ensure compliance with the commitments adopted.
