The ecosystem of Kaspersky Lab solutions will provide protection for the corporate and industrial infrastructure of the Abinsk Electrometallurgical Plant (AEMP), the largest in the Novostal-M metallurgical holding. This is one of the most significant enterprises in the south of Russia. The plant has implemented a unified cybersecurity concept, which was made possible by using solutions from a single vendor inthe OTandITsegments.
Digitalization of all japan cell phone number list stages of the production cycle required the implementation of a comprehensive cybersecurity system for the stable operation of the enterprise in the conditions of a constantly changing landscape of cyber threats. Since an individual approach was required taking into account all the features of the technological process, the project was coordinated at all stages by experts in the field of information security. As a result, the plant, as a critical infrastructure facility, is provided with security solutions from a domestic developer that meet strict requirements in this area.
as part of the process of categorizing critical information infrastructure (CII) objects, conducted a cybersecurity audit, identified potential risks and presented a comprehensive protection strategy. The prepared concept made it possible to strengthen the security perimeter of both corporate and industrial infrastructure, taking into account the specifics of each.
The security of the corporate environment at AEMZ is ensured by XDR ( Extended Detection and Response ) solutions . This allows for continuous monitoring of the IT infrastructure, detection of cyber attacks, prevention of them, detailed investigation of incidents and response to them.
For process security, the industrial XDR platform Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity (KICS) was chosen.
A unified system for countering cyber threats in the technology and corporate segments, based on two XDR platforms , allows for a comprehensive approach to enterprise security. This concept helps minimize the success of attacks, which often begin with attempts to penetrate corporate network devices. Thus, according to Kaspersky ICS CERT, in the first half of 2022, the share of various threats on ICS computers in Russia increased significantly: malicious documents (+80%), dangerous Internet resources (+44%); spyware Trojans (+18%); various miners. The multi-vector nature of attacks requires attention to the protection of each element of the infrastructure.
At the early stages of cooperation, Kaspersky Lab experts,
