FSUE Rosmorport has completed work on transferring the vessel traffic management system (VTS) Makhachkala to domestic software. This was reported by the press service of the department.

SOORI SUDS Makhachkala was developed based on the results of experimental design work aimed at creating e-Navigation tools, within the framework of the federal project "Autonomous Navigation" of the JSC "Institute of Telecommunications".

SOORI is a specialized software and hardware complex designed to perform such functions of the vessel traffic management service as information support for shipping, organization of vessel traffic and assistance in navigation. The system is used to control technical means (sensors) included in the Makhachkala VTS, display electronic navigation charts, radar information, AIS targets, display and track ARPA targets, as well as generate alarms and warnings about the occurrence of dangerous situations, predict target movement, exchange messages with vessels equipped with AIS transponders, archive and reproduce navigation situation data.

To replace the hardware of the SOORI, technical means included in the register of Russian radio-electronic products were used.

Earlier, the enterprise transferred the Arkhangelsk VTS and Sochi VTS to domestic software. Over time, FSUE Rosmorport intends to re-equip all VTS under the economic management of the enterprise.
