The distribution of compositions occurs through the recommendation option "My Wave"

he streaming service Yandex Music has begun to recommend new songs to users by artists who collaborate with labels that, after the start of a special military operation in Ukraine, announced the end of their business in Russia. RBC drew attention to the availability of songs in the platform's library that were released after February 2022.

- an algorithm for selecting music finland whatsapp number database for each specific user, taking into account their personal preferences. As of January 11, RBC, in particular, found songs from the new albums Zeit by the rock band Rammstein (released April 29, 2022, label - Universal Music), Rush! by the winners of "Eurovision - 2021" Måneskin (January 20, 2023, Sony Music Entertainment), Harry's House by the English singer Harry Styles (May 20, 2022, Sony Music Entertainment), etc.

Recommended songs are distributed with official album covers, but without the label. In the detected cases, the source information for the track states that the track is "uploaded by the user". While listening to such a track, you can add it to your own collection and save it.

However, it is impossible to find these songs by searching the entire Yandex Music library. For example, there are no Måneskin tracks on the service at all, and Rammstein only has albums released before the start of the special military operation in Ukraine.

The Yandex Music press service noted that the ability to independently download audio content has existed since 2017, and when using this mechanism, the company operates "strictly within the framework of the law and fully fulfills its obligations to copyright holders, including on services with recommendation algorithms and with public access to content."

How Western Music Left Russia
In the spring of 2022, the music industry in Russia underwent major changes. International streaming services Deezer and Spotify left the market, and YouTube Music stopped monetizing. Three of the largest international record companies also announced the termination or suspension of operations in Russia: Universal Music Group (Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Metallica, Rammstein work with this company's labels), Warner Music (Ed Sheeran, Madonna, David Guetta, etc.) and Sony Music (Måneskin, Shakira and Beyoncé). Individual artists, such as Pink Floyd, also spoke about removing their compositions.

Already in the fall of 2022, Sony Music Group announced the withdrawal of its old catalog from Russian platforms. In addition, at the same time, national companies joined international ones: songs from the British label WARP (collaborates with Aphex Twin, Autechre, Boards of Canada, etc.) disappeared from Yandex Music.
