Post by pappu636 »

Hackers have been playing tricks on big companies these days. The latest company to suffer the attacks of hackers is Disney .

Bob Iger , CEO of the famous entertainment multinational, yesterday denounced the kidnapping of a film pending release , for whose release hackers are asking Disney for a "gigantic" ransom.

Iger has not named the film that was stolen, but it seems that Disney is not willing to give in to blackmail , according to The Hollywood Reporter .

The publication claims that the company headed by Iger is working closely with federal agents to clarify the kidnapping.

According to Deadline , the film hijacked by the hackers was reportedly Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar's Revenge , which opens next week in the United States. However, other journalists claim that the film stolen from Disney by the hackers was reportedly Cars 3 , which will be released in about a month.

While both films are expected to fill Disney's coffers to the brim, they won't do so as much as Star Wars: The Last Jedi . Not in vain, Ryan Parker, a journalist for The Hollywood Reporter , claims that if this had been the film compromised by hackers, Disney would have been happy to pay the ransom "ipso facto."

Hackers have demanded that Disney pay the ransom in Bitcoin . If payment is not bulgaria phone number made, the hackers are threatening the entertainment giant with airing 5 minutes of the film and then another 20 minutes of the movie.

This hijacking comes shortly after Netflix was the victim of a similar cyberattack, which resulted in the leak of 10 episodes of the Orange is the New Black series before its official premiere.

Meanwhile, more than 200,000 computers in companies, banks, hospitals and government agencies were affected by a massive cyber attack that occurred this weekend and spread its tentacles across more than 150 countries.
