China blocks ClubHouse

Post by Abdur14 »

The popularity of this social network was such that in some Chinese marketplaces you could find invitations for the application for sale . Remember that in order to be part of the Clubhouse users, it is necessary to receive an invitation from someone who is already active.

This surge in engagement in China may be surprising, as the app was not even available in the Apple Store in that country. Still, users of the social network could use it without needing a private network, as long as they managed to install the app.

On the other hand, the majority of users in this country belong to groups of workers and financial experts. In addition, there are growing groups or channels dedicated to discussing political issues, which are commonly censored in China.

ClubHouse is an application with complete freedom in its iceland business email database channels, something that has even caused problems in its homeland, the United States , where the application has been in the spotlight due to some cases of anti-Semitism and harassment within its network, due to the lack of appropriate moderation control.

We must take into account, as we have mentioned, that several of the groups in China discuss protests, censorship and deprivation of freedom by the government. Based on this, their assimilation into this market would seem illogical, given that the government maintains absolute control over the media and information.

At the moment there has been no official statement from the ClubHouse team regarding this censorship received in the Asian country. It is also not known with certainty whether it will be available again at some point, although some users have been able to regain access thanks to private networks and tools to circumvent the country's own firewall.
