Features that cause a page to be dropped from the index

Push notifications

Advertising with push notifications is not as effective as it was several years ago, but some website owners do not refuse this method of earning additional income. Yandex is neutral about push, but sanctions may be applied to the resource in case of individual violations. This happens in the following cases:

Consent to receive notifications was not obtained entirely legally;

The user loses access to the site until he subscribes to push notifications;

The resource owner is being overly persistent, repeatedly sending out subscription offers.

If you find that your site has a push notification system enabled, and this has been done without your knowledge, it is most likely a hack. This is one of the common ways to introduce malicious code. To find and remove it, use one of the antivirus and malware protection plugins. If you cannot solve this problem yourself, contact the experts.

Incorrect advertising

In general, Yandex has nothing against advertising, although SEO specialists believe that its excess has a negative impact on the ranking of the site. There is some truth in this, but if the advertising blocks are placed correctly, their large number does not cause a decrease in positions in the search results.

This does not mean that you can safely insert an advertising banner after each paragraph. Users will not like such intrusiveness, they will leave the pages, thereby worsening the behavioral factors of the resource.

There are several advertising formats that can cause a site to lose its top positions if used actively. These are:

PopUnder – when a separate window with advertising, located behind the browser window, opens simultaneously with the page;

ClickUnder – an advertisement or website opens in a new browser tab after the user clicks on the current tab;

PopUp – a pop-up window with advertising in the same tab.

Abuse of such advertising formats may cause the page to fall out of the index. Although there is no formal ban on their use, the Yandex algorithm classifies PopUnder, ClickUnder or PopUp as intrusive methods of promoting goods and services. In addition, a ban on indexing a site can be imposed manually by assessors.
