SEO tasks that need to be prioritized

Post by Rina7RS »

If we think there should be just one page, we might want to take our two pages, combine the best content, pick the URL that has the strongest backlinks, historical performance, etc., and then redirect another URL to that combined page to have the best content, serve the nuances of what we now know is an intent.

If we want two pages, then obviously we don't want them to cannibalize each other. So we need to make sure they're clearly differentiated. Now what often happens here is that a commercial page, like this buy burgers page, ironically for SEO reasons there might be a block of text at the bottom of the page with a bunch of editorial or SEO text about burgers, which can be very confusing as to what the intent of this site is to provide this page.

Likewise, on this page, we might decide at some ghana mobile database stage that we want to feature some product or something there. It might start to look very commercial. So we need to make sure that if we're going to have two at the same time that they very clearly state the different intents and don't contain the same information and the same keywords and things like that in most cases.

Tips
This article mentions cannibalization, which may not be the right thing to mention, or it may be talking about something else. But as long as it's not targeting a certain keyword, it should be fine, and so on. Think about what other sections there are that need to be investigated, because if there are some that are basically targeting the same keywords, then we obviously need to think about merging or redirecting, or just updating the old section.
