And as you can see

Post by jrineakter »

And even though I did everything, the result wasn't there. You actually have to accept it, you have to accept it and not say to yourself, because I tend to get frustrated sometimes and say to myself: "No, but wait. I did all the work and I don't have the result because of something I don't control." That's how it is, that's life, it's completely logical. Here, I took a really simple example to illustrate this, but it really works for everything in life.

The Stoic philosophers that I talk about very often, they understood it very well when they said that, not only do we have to put our efforts and focus our attention on what we can change and not on what we cannot change. So there, I did everything I could. All the things over which I had influence, I respected them. The rest is not in my hands.

There's also a really cool quote. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it. Just before we left, I tried to find it. I think it was Eisenhower at the time of the landings actually where he was saying... so just before the landings, where he was saying that in fact they had planned everything, they had made all the plans, planned all the logistics, done india whatsapp number data everything in their power and he was saying: "Now, the outcome is no longer up to us finally." I don't remember exactly how he said it, but it was exactly the same idea.

it works for the little things, like getting a good night's sleep, as well as the big things, the D-Day landings that ultimately changed the face of the world and the outcome of World War II.

That's really something I try to keep in mind, a philosophy I really try to have, which is I work hard. If I have a project, I continue to work hard, I prepare thoroughly. On the other hand, once I'm done and I start the project, I don't stress, I'm not anxious, I don't worry about things that I can't control, that are beyond my control. It helps me a lot to be more serene. It helps me in my private life but also in my professional life.

When I have a launch, an opening of registrations for the Academy for example, Authentic French where I always work a lot, when I create new content for the Academy or YouTube videos or a new course, if the result is not up to my expectations, I say to myself: "Well, have I done everything I could?" In general, it's yes, because I tend to work a lot for these things.

Then I say to myself: "Ultimately, the result didn't depend only on me" and I try to understand what I could have done better. You always have to try to learn to improve, to always do better. The idea is not to close your eyes and say: "Oh I did everything I could. The rest, I don't care". No, we try to improve. But despite everything, I keep this humility perhaps, to let go and say to myself: "There you go. You can't control everything". Sometimes you do your best and sometimes it's not enough. As I said in the title, it's OK.
