After several changes to Facebook's algorithm , news has now come of a new tool from this social network. And it's not about filters, the inclusion of stories or similar, but about a job search and application platform!

The new Zuckerberg domains feature is named after Jobs and was already launched in the United States and Canada in 2017. As of February 28, the functionality is available in 40 other countries, including Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain, France, Argentina, among others.

But how will this new Facebook section work? What is its purpose? Read to the end to find out!


The goal of Facebook Jobs is clearly to target the part of LinkedIn's audience that is dissatisfied there, gcash data since this social network ends up not satisfying workers and recruiters who are looking for (or offering) opportunities in small and medium-sized companies.

Candidates looking for job openings on these profiles don't usually have long resumes like those available on LinkedIn. To reinforce this idea, the official Facebook Jobs demo video shows a recruiter posting a cashier vacancy and immediately showing how the application process works. And all of this is done via a smartphone! Watch below:


So, initially, the two media will coexist and compete for different audiences. But, knowing Mark Zuckerberg, it is to be expected that new investments will be made in order to compete with LinkedIn.
