Step-by-Step Guide to Change Your Phone Number:
The steps are similar for both Android and iOS Telegram apps.
Open the Telegram App: Launch the Telegram app on your device where you are currently logged in.
Go to Settings:
On Android: Tap the ☰ (three horizontal lines) telegram number database menu icon in the top-left corner, then select Settings.
On iOS: Tap the Settings icon at the bottom-right corner of the screen.
Tap on Your Current Phone Number: Under the "Account" section (usually at the top, showing your display name and phone number), tap on your current phone number.
Select "Change Number": A pop-up or a new screen will appear. Tap on "Change Number."
Confirm the Action: Telegram will likely show a message explaining what will happen (e.g., "Your account and all your cloud data – messages, media, contacts, etc. – will be transferred to the new number."). Tap "Change" or "Change Number" again to confirm you wish to proceed.
Enter Your New Phone Number:
Select the correct country code if it's not pre-selected.
