In search, retargeting ads will be seen only by those people who are in the retargeting database and are searching for something by keywords. Keyword is the main condition for impressions in Search.

For example, retargeting ads will only be seen by the user who simultaneously:

Been on the site more than 5 times
I searched for your product in a search engine.
Retargeting in YAN has more opportunities. There is no limitation on keys.

Search retargeting often produces low impressions because few users meet the required criteria. This is especially true when you have:

— Narrow keywords
— Narrow customer base
— Low website traffic

You can expand your audience with LAL (Lookalike Audience), but that's a whole different story. These are new people. It's not retargeting anymore.

In the Yandex Direct account structure, retargeting can be configured in 3 ways:

Method 1. campaign
