In June, Musk's lawyers announced his desire to terminate the deal, citing the social network's refusal to provide reliable information about fake accounts and spam bots.
Twitter management accused Musk of refusing to fulfill his obligations and filed a lawsuit against him. In October, Reuters wrote that the businessman approached the company's management with a proposal to conclude an agreement to buy Twitter on the original terms if the lawsuit against him was dropped. After that, the process was suspended until October 28. Bloomberg wrote that Musk planned to close the deal before that date.
