Adding headings to text
It's good to know the types and structure of headings, but how do you actually add them?
It's very simple and I'll show you how to do it using the two most popular CMSs – WordPress and Shopify.
How to Add Headings in WordPress
In WordPress, you have several options for adding a header.
Through a text editor
This is the easiest way to add a header from an SEO perspective. If you are using the new editor, just press the + icon and when you get a menu like the one below, click Heading . Then choose what type of header you want to add – H1, H2 and so on. And you are done!

If you're still using the slightly older version of the editor, don't worry. It's not any harder. Just make sure you're in visual editor mode by checking the top right corner.
If so, click on the drop-down menu above and select the type of header you would like to place.

Using HTML
You can also add headings to text this way. In the aforementioned classic editor, you china rcs data must then be in text mode .
What to do then? Use tags to specify the type of heading you want, such as <h1> or <h2>. Remember to close the heading with a slash tag, such as </h1>.
You can do this with the newer version of the editor as well. Just click on the drop -down menu with the dotted icon in the upper right corner and select Edit as HTML .
