In the future, McKnight wants to focus on supporting black girls

Post by zakiyatasnim »

In 2020, Barbie's YouTube channel released videos discussing racism in the wake of the Black Lives Matter protests in the US. More inclusive versions of the toy have also been launched, including a figure with a prosthetic leg, and a series of dolls featuring four different characters that introduce girls to the careers of public figures.

"We want to not only diversify our product line, but also include norway number data black characters as leads in our content. That's why we're working to create more dolls that represent black role models and look like real, inspiring women."

Barbie will also direct funds from her Dream Gap charity to organizations that support black girls.

“We still have a lot of work to do, but I’m really proud of our goal of inspiring all girls to reach their limitless potential. And I think it’s paying off. Customers are seeing the authenticity of the brand and wanting to buy its products,” McKnight admits.
