My Digital Day

Post by asimd23 »

No, no - my digital day wasn't all that glamorous. There was no party and no VIPs at Zurich Central Station. I wasn't even invited. Digital - that sounds good. Just a few years ago we only had digital scales or watches, and cars also started showing us digitally how fast we were driving.

No, my digital day was very special. It was and is all about my internet connection. And if I have understood the digital future correctly, then the internet base is not entirely unimportant. After many years, I am moving from Zurich to Zollikon. A few kilometers away, but a different internet world. My ideal UPC subscription - where I get south korea rcs data everything for around 100 francs, including high-speed internet - should no longer be available in the small, pretty town of Zollikon. A local provider has laid the fiber optics there and also offers TV, internet and television programs. But when I add up the local offer, what UPC offers me costs me well over 300 francs a month. My digital day has already turned into a digital week. A solution will be found. UPC helps wherever it can.

What is it about? When thinking and dreaming digitally, we should not forget that the basis must also be affordable. For everyone and everywhere. There are already cities - like Tel Aviv - that have free WiFi for a long time. In some residential buildings abroad, WiFi is simply included (like in hotels).

Digital Day is also payday - for the consumer. There will only be a good future if the providers do not exaggerate. An issue that must also be addressed politically if the digital future is to be the future for everyone.
