No power to female journalists

Post by asimj1 »

The debate about equal rights and feminism vs. chauvinism has flared up again, not just since the misogynistic behavior of the current US president or the Polish EU representative . At the political level, the discussion about promoting women in many sectors has also been going on for some time in Switzerland . The media regularly address women's rights, their position in society and professional opportunities. But what is the situation in our own sector, i.e. journalism?

The critical examination of this question is all the canada rcs data more important because the situation in journalism seems to be even more precarious than in other professions, as a recent study by the Grimme Lab in Germany shows. The debate also flares up from time to time in Switzerland; recently, the Swiss Media Women wanted to know why media companies are silent about their own promotion of women.

Equality still has some catching up to do

As in many economically driven companies, it is clear in both Germany and Switzerland that women are clearly underrepresented in higher positions, including in editorial departments.
