The engineering and operational capabilities

To move beyond internal discussions and pilots, telcos will need people with expertise in quantum technologies (such as quantum algorithms, computer architectures, superconducting circuits, and machine learning); high-performance computing to engage with the ecosystem through pilots in areas such as QKD; software, hardware, and cryptographic security to prevent cyber-attacks and manage the evolution of cryptography as threat levels and standards evolve; network engineering to design hybrid classical/quantum networks, develop and pilot mission-critical optical communications equipment, and explore the potential of satellites and fiber for quantum communications; and product management to monetize quantum networks and security.

inherent in traditional network optimization methods using classical computing will become less relevant.

Gartner: 80% of enterprises will implement artificial intelligence by 2026

Think AI is getting too much attention right now? A new denmark mobile database from Gartner suggests that the attention will only increase over the next two years — especially in the enterprise sector, ZDNet reports .

Since ChatGPT’s release nearly a year ago, generative AI (GenAI) has been on the rise, with companies developing or deploying AI models every day. Gartner’s new report, “2023 Hype Cycle for Generative AI,” shows that this growth will only increase in the coming years.

By 2026, the research firm predicts that 80% of enterprises will be using APIs (application programming interfaces) and generative AI models or developing their own. This means that in just three years, the number of enterprises implementing or creating GenAI models will increase 16-fold, since less than 5% of enterprises will do so in 2023 , according to Gartner.

“Generative AI has become a top priority for business leaders and has driven tremendous innovation in new tools that go beyond basic models,” said Arun Chandrasekaran, distinguished vice president and analyst at Gartner.
