Hello, dear friends! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for joining me for this new episode of "Walking with Johan". I'm taking a short break from work to go for a walk not far from the office to chat with you or at least give you some keys, some personal development tips that can help you improve your life. In this podcast, I have two goals: to provide you with authentic content in French so that you improve your French but also to provide you with personal development content so that you improve your life. We call that "killing two birds with one stone".
If you haven't done it yet, I would really appreciate it if you could give the podcast Français Authentique a 5-star rating, simply to help Français Authentique help even more people. It only takes two minutes, no matter what platform you're listening to the podcast on, you can really do it in a few moments and it helps us a lot. So, thank you for that.
Today, I would like us to talk about fear because belgium whatsapp number data fear really paralyzes a lot of people in a whole bunch of areas of our lives. It can obviously be when you try to express yourself in French for example. If you are afraid, it will hold you back. Fear can also block you when launching a project, when asking your boss for a pay raise for example. There are really lots of moments during which fear can really be a hindrance.
I actually found a number of ideas that I would like to share with you today in my notes. In fact, I have reading notes that I store, that I review from time to time. And there is a passage that had inspired me a lot that I would like to discuss with you. It is an excerpt from the book, I give the title in English because I am reading in English, it is Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway by Susan Jeffers. It means feel the fear, but do it anyway.
The big idea of the book, you will understand it in the five truths that this author gives on fear, the major idea of the book is to say: "OK. We are all afraid, eh, it's normal. We are all afraid. Our emotions are strong. We are afraid of many things. But the only remedy for fear is action and so even if you are afraid, you have to do it anyway. It's not because something scares you that you shouldn't do it."
