It helps Google "see" that you are a true authority on a given topic. If you can write a lot of quality words covering all angles on a given topic, it's probably safe to say that you know a lot about it.
Your website user will find your blog very useful. The more valuable the content, the longer users will stay on your site and discover what you have to offer them.
