The black hole then begins to collapse, but the team is able to make an emergency return to Earth before it closes completely, only to discover the immense crater left by the destruction wrought by the vile Viktor. The secret base has been razed, along with the surrounding countryside, severely diminishing the local military tourism industry.

So we find our heroes a little later, when some generals receive them, and after thanking them for saving the Earth (that's nice), they offer to continue collaborating.
