#WomenaliaDay: 5 Keys to Boosting Your Professional Development September 25, 2015

Post by sakib40 »

On September 24th, Madrid's Teatro Circo Price once again became a hub for inspiration, creativity, and personal and professional synergy for professional women: the social network Womenalia celebrated the 4th edition of Womenalia Inspiration Day , bringing together more than 1,400 men and women managers, professionals, business owners, and entrepreneurs.

This year, the focus was on the importance of women in the management of civil, social, and administrative responsibility, and in the area of communication . Debate, motivation, excitement, and special lead networking brought the Price floor to a head.

And of all the ideas that have been generated there, today I'm going to tell you about a few.

Five keys to inspire your career1. “Stop and think about what you need, what you want, and whether it’s balanced: manage your emotions.”
Humans are capable of experiencing up to 200 different emotions : we have 400 words to describe them, as explained by psychotherapist Laura Rojas Marcos. This "overdose" causes the brain to often be unable to identify whether a given stimulus is real or not, hence panic and anxiety attacks.

Many factors influence our mood: time, family, work environment, our image, conflicts, health, loss... Laura Rojas offered some tips for learning how to manage emotions: combat stress, teamwork; to combat bad vibes, set yourself the challenge of going 21 days without complaining. Would you be up to it?😉

2. “Never accept being an exception, because the exception does not break the rule.”
This is how Nuria Vilanova , president of Atrevia, spoke bluntly about the situation of women in the workplace and business. Vilanova argued that diversity in business is always enriching , to the point of admitting that she had decided to implement affirmative action policies in her company… in favor of men, because there were few of them. And she asked: “Spend five minutes a day helping another woman . ”
