The "landing page" dimension doesn't tell us what users did after using site search on our website. However, there is a way to find out:
1. Navigate to the "All Pages" report. You can find it under Behavior -> Site Content.
2. Click "Navigation Overview," right next to the "Explorer Tab."
The navigation overview shows you simple navigation paths on your uae phone number data website. Under "Current Selection," you can select the page you want to examine. This shows, for example, where users were previously and which page they navigated to afterward.
To apply this to your search page, you need two pieces of information.
The URL of your search page, including the search parameter. Enter this string in the search field under "Current Selection."
We need a reporting view that doesn't automatically remove the search parameter from reports. This is an option that can be selected when setting up site search tracking. If you don't have a "raw data view" where no filters, etc., are applied, or a data view that retains the query parameters, you'll need to create a new one. Unfortunately, this also means you'll have to wait until enough data has been collected in this new data view to be able to perform a meaningful analysis.
Now we can analyze specific search terms. To do so, simply enter the search page URL mentioned above, including the parameter. The report will now reload, and you'll see two columns below the page icon. The left column shows which pages were viewed before the search page. The icon represents the selected search page, and to the right of the icon, you'll see the pages accessed after the search.
What do users do after using the “Site Search”?
