Corporate design as the foundation of marketing
When people think of a well-known brand, their logo often comes to mind first. The logo is an important reference point for our visual habits. But a brand doesn't make it. Think of it more as the tip of the iceberg—the thing we notice first. The solid foundation of the brand personality, however, is the entire corporate identity. It should embody the brand's DNA, be memorable, and clearly position itself. A consistent, thoroughly implemented corporate design is therefore a key ingredient for business success.

The corporate identity must match the brand
Can a brand's appearance contribute to profits? Yes. Because we perceive brand personalities in much the same way we perceive a person's personality. And we perceive a person as credible when their appearance harmonizes with their demeanor. A brand that sells surfboards can strike a relaxed tone. In fact, it has to. It can cultivate the charm of imperfection and be on first-name terms with its target audience. But what plays into the hands of a surfer brand can put a financial services provider out of the running. Logically, who would buy disability insurance from a guy in flip-flops?
