Our comrade, Suren Torosovich Grigoryan, has passed away!

Post by mdabuhasan »

In recent years, he was very ill and lost his legs, which he got frostbite while on an expedition after graduating from the geography department of Moscow State University.

The encyclopedic knowledge, the general high culture of communication of this poetically talented and very, very modest person strongly attracted one. One wanted to be friends with him. He lived in Pereslavl-Zalessky for several years. In the same Russian city he lived in a dacha. So they met and saw off his mother on her final journey there.

He didn't treat himself with reverence, but rather like, oh argentina phone number data well, what can you do, we'll live. His positivity was amazing, starting from his infinitely friendly and unfeigned smile, to the interesting stories of his geographical life. Once he told how he went into the taiga ALONE! To mine diamonds. And he did mine them, and that's where he injured his legs.

Always not rich, not demanding of ordinary people, did not draw attention to himself, not to his clothes, not to what he had, as, he said, God sent. And at the same time a poet and a scientist.

He himself somehow put off meetings until later, avoiding noisy companies, loving solitude and gatherings with friends.

He has a very intelligent and beautiful wife and family! But he did not live with his family in recent years, did not want to talk about it and loved and was proud of his daughter very much. He was and sailed, like his ship in life, being both his sailor and captain.

He was a religious man and a true Orthodox Christian, professing non-resistance to evil by violence.

He was deeply concerned about imperfection and sincerely dreamed of the perfection of our Motherland, like all people of the 19th century, he did not like bureaucracy and was, as they say now, a free artist.

And, lo and behold, he died!

His soul rests in peace and his memory will remain with us!

Here is his own essay about his life that you can read right here.

I will give you some small excerpts from it.
